Starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Mortimer, Lars and the Real Girl is a heartfelt comedy drama about a delusional young man who develops an ‘unconventional’ relationship with a life-sized doll. Wounded by the pain of losing his parents and frightened of human touch, Lars (Gosling) embarks on a deep, meaningful relationship with a doll he orders off the internet and finds the rest of the town where he lives going along with him in support of the sweet natured boy they’ve always loved.
