Whitehaven Charity Album

As you may be aware Whitehaven has a great live music scene. Many of the artists and bands that perform around town are local homegrown talent.

These local artists and bands are going to be releasing a compilation CD, with 100 per cent of the money going to West Cumberland Hospital Children's Ward.

Organiser David Eldon said: "The kids that have to stay in hospital Christmas don't have much to do, so it would just be great to buy them a new TV, games consoles, DVDs and new Christmas decorations".

The CD will hit the shops around the end of October and will cost just £4.99 (however if you would like to donate more, it all goes to charity).

Included on the 15 track CD will be: Mazzoni, David Eldon, Marratimes, Adam Amor, GO, Gavin Mckew, Stef Wars, Andy Winter, Luke Telford, Shore, Andy Vaughan, Roy Robson and Lez.

Each act was asked to donate a song for the CD. All songs have been professionally recorded.

There will also be a charity gig held over Christmas. Details of this will follow in the press shortly.

Organisers have also been seeking sponsorship in order to raise more funds for the charity.
So far the sponsors include Printpoint, The Mighty Boof, Savvy and Moor Row FC.

If any business would be interested in becoming a sponsor, for a small donation, please contact David on 07793 274093
