Local Artists exhibition at the Moot Hall Keswick

Local artists Sue and Jeff Clarke are returning to Keswick on 9th and 10th July for another oil and water colour exhibition and Sue will be joined by her husband of 40 years Jeff showing his Lake District photographs.  Sue has been painting in oils for 35 years with no formal training and still continues to enjoy herself.  She has been retired three years and successfully held her first exhibition at the Moot Hall in Keswick in 2006.  Sue has added watercolour to her repertoire and since her last exhibition cards and mounts of original work will also be available. Jeff provides these prints from their computer and make a very professional job of it.  Once again there is a variety of size ranging from 4'6" x 3'6" Wasdale from Great Gable in Oil to 6"x6" Herdwick mother with lamb water colour.   Sue will also be demonstrating oil painting once again and Jeff will be on hand to talk about his love of photography.    Since retirement Sue has joined Keswick Society of Art and belongs to her local Ireby Club.  Sue is also a Parish Councillor and has formed Ireby Youth Group along with Wigton Youth Centre to help bring some of the youth opportunities to the local village youth.

Jeff and Sue now exhibit their work at Portinscale Tearooms and Shop together with cards and mounts.  There is also a large oil painting of our beautiful fells on view at The Pheasant Inn, Crosthwaite, Keswick.  Sue has painted a mural using four prime colours in emulsion paint of Catbells and adjoining fells for the Tearooms.  She quickly followed this with another mural for Eden Valley Children's Hospice - a special request for a bluebell wood.  She thinks they both worked but prefers to use oil and water colour!
