CockRock is extremely excited to announce that joining Headliners THE SHALLOW CALL and MAX RAPTOR are this years Saturday headliner THE HOLLOWAYS!

The Holloways had an exciting start to life with the critically acclaimed chart hit debut - "So This Is Great Britain?" - and 2007 saw the band storm sold out shows across the UK with singles Dance Floor, Generator and Two Left Feet pumping on the radio airwaves.

Huge favourites of the NME, who chose their debut album as one of the best of 2006, a sample of their ‘Generator' track is used every weekend on Fearne and Reggie's Radio 1 show.

After time off recording and writing The Holloways are back on the road gigging the brand new set featuring songs from the forthcoming album alongside the old favourites.

Now, the energy and the bond in the band has seen the boys enjoy an intense schedule which is already relighting many fires ahead of the release of their eagerly awaited new album - No Smoke, No Mirrors - which is due for a September release.

The Holloways join the CockRock 2009 line up following a generous offer of sponsorship from P & R Benn, Cockermouth. Chairman Clint Stamper said "We are very grateful for P & R Benn's support and are delighted to add The Holloways to an already superb line up, I'm certain they will bring a fantastic buzz to the festival. CockRock is all about bringing talented bands and musicians together from the local area and from further afield to give them a platform to showcase their music. We feel that this is natural progression for CockRock and will not only increase the festivals publicity but will also give us new platforms to help further promote all of the other fantastic 125 + bands in the line up"

The final of CockRock 2009 Battle of the Bands featuring With Lights Out, ROT, The Relics, Giants of the West and Our Famous Dead will be held this Saturday @ The Globe Hotel, Cockermouth. The winner will go on to support Sunday headliner MAX RAPTOR @ CockRock 2009. Doors open @ 7pm.
