The RAF Museum, which originated in 1992 houses a fast-growing collection of memorabilia of various types. There is an archive of over 3000 photographs showing the history of the site, and a large section illustrating the history of RAF Walney no 10 Air Gunnery School.

It is a small museum operated by the South Copeland Aviation Group in co-operation with HM Prison Service. The museum displays the history of RAF Millom and its wartime Mountain Rescue Team. There are several aero engines (including a Rolls Royce Merlin, and a Rolls Royce Avon jet engine) and the smaller aircraft are accommodated in a second building.
