Richardsons of Whitehaven are a family run firm who have created a lasting impression on the area with the development of the International Maritime Festival which still operates from the back office of the shop.
Specialising in small select vineyards and able to give detailed advice on each and every product, Richardson's typify everything you could imagine about a traditional local trader.
In addition to the wine, they also stock a small range of rare Malts and Coffee Beans as well as providing a corporate catering service mid week. Particularly recommended products which are quite unique to the shop are the local Stillman's Dram Whisky and the wines from the Whitehaven Vineyard in New Zealand. The shop windows themselves are worth a visit, looking like a quirky combination of museum and traditional shop. Celebrity clients include Ken Hom, the Chinese chef, and a Hollywood Studio!
