Set in the original 1785 shop, courtyards, cellars and bonded warehouses of the Jefferson family, The Rum Story has been authentically designed to provide all-weather family entertainment.
During your visit you will travel through a tropical rainforest, an African village, a realistic slave ship, Cumbrian cottages, a Cooper's workshop and much, much more.
Whether you are organising a family day out, a group booking or wish to take advantage of our hospitality facilities.
We are fortunate in that we have several areas available for hospitality use, with a 20-seat boardroom, an education suite capable of comfortably seating 75 people and the vault area with options ranging from 62 seated at one long table to 150 people in a theatre style.
The events already held have been varied with Wedding receptions, Annual General Meetings, Book launches, Government Planning meetings, Astronomical Society exhibitions, Legal and Community works and Musical events.
We can also cater for many differing tastes with several set menus plus a 'bespoke' costing service for that slightly different requirement. Be it tea and biscuits or a five-course feast, we can cater for you.
